Camarillo Airport Approach and Procedure Analysis

Exploring Ways to Reduce Aircraft Noise at Camarillo Airport

Background

The Ventura County Department of Airports conducted an Approach and Procedure Analysis (Study). This Study was a response to community input received during the County’s ongoing Noise Compatibility Study. This Study focused on evaluating how aircraft flew into and out of the airport under instrument flight rules, with the goal of identifying possible procedure adjustments that could help reduce aircraft noise. The Study included technical evaluations, input from aviation experts, public meetings, and coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
